Which watch does Cyril Hanouna wear?

Montre Cyril Hanouna

In our “Who wears what?” section, today we’re taking a look at a media figure who is impossible to miss on the French TV landscape: Cyril Hanouna. The host-producer of Tout beau tout n9uf shows a rather refined taste in watches. And judging by his many recent appearances, he seems to have a particular fondness for a Cartier Santos 100 XL in rose gold.

(Update: given how often he changes watches and what appears to be a very extensive collection, I’ll be updating this article regularly.)

A Cartier Santos 100 XL in rose gold

The watch spotted several times on Cyril Hanouna’s wrist is a Cartier Santos 100 XL, reference W20124U2—a model launched in 2014 with a bold design blending tradition and modernity (I hate this expression that pops up in every watch brand press kit, but I’ll concede it fits particularly well here). It’s no longer in Cartier’s current catalogue, which makes it a sought-after piece on the secondary market.

The key specifications:

  • 18k rose-gold case, 38 x 43 mm
  • Black dial with Roman numerals, blued hands
  • Automatic movement, Cartier Calibre 049
  • Black rubber strap with rose-gold pin buckle
  • Date at 6 o’clock, 100 m water resistance
  • Sapphire crystal, screw-down caseback

It’s a robust, luxurious and relatively rare watch. Its sharp, modern look suits the image he seems keen to project away from the cameras.

Why this choice?

Cyril Hanouna’s choice of this Cartier may come as a surprise, as his public persona is more readily associated with that of a provocateur. Still, it’s clear he has a certain interest in fine labels, both in clothing and in watches. This timepiece reveals the face of a businessman who knows how to surround himself with safe bets.

The Santos 100 XL is:

  • A watch inspired by aviation history (created in 1904 for Santos-Dumont)
  • A design that’s both sporty—thanks to its rubber strap—and chic, instantly recognisable and powerful
  • A symbol of masculine elegance without excessive ostentation

Some may criticise his jokes or his editorial choices, but it’s hard to fault him for this one.

What about the other watches?

It’s obvious that Cyril Hanouna doesn’t own just one watch. But this Cartier Santos does seem to be his current favourite. While we wait to spot others on his wrist (Richard Mille? Audemars Piguet? Patek Philippe?), this rose-gold Santos 100 XL marks a brief interlude of good taste…

Cyril Hanouna’s bracelets

He can be seen wearing bracelets on his right wrist, including Fred bracelets and often an Hermès Clic HH So Black bracelet (€770).

January 2026 update

Montre Rolex Cyril Hanouna

It would appear that Cyril Hanouna has put his Cartier back in the safe since mid-January 2026 to enjoy a handsome steel watch with a blue dial: a Rolex Oyster Perpetual (reference 134300). I initially thought it might be a Vacheron Constantin Overseas, but the absence of a date window ruled that out, and for a few seconds I was able to make out the substantial clasp on the bracelet (Oysterclasp) of the Rolex—confirming it was indeed the “crown” brand.

The thickness of the indices at 3 and 9 o’clock—hard to make out on a television screen—also pointed me towards a kind of double index that matches the Oyster Perpetual perfectly.

Rolex de Cyril Hanouna

This 41 mm Rolex, water-resistant to 100 metres, features a blue dial made up of six layers of lacquer, plus a layer of varnish before being polished. The case houses the in-house calibre 3230, which promises a 70-hour power reserve.

Its price? €6,850. Yes, Cyril Hanouna is wearing the cheapest Rolex.

February 2026 update

Cyril Hanouna has grown tired of his Rolex and has recently strapped on a very fine rose-gold piece from the brand whose emblem is not a crown but the Calatrava cross. I hesitated between two models, but I’m certain it’s the Patek Philippe Aquanaut Chronograph, reference 5968R-001. The brown sunburst dial fading to black shows the time (obviously), as well as the date in its window at 3 o’clock and the flyback chronograph counter at 6 o’clock. Its rose-gold case measures 42.2 mm in diameter.

If you’re not a watch scholar, its price may well shock you: €83,100.
