Swatch Touch: New Designer Watches and Touchscreens
Swatch launches the Swatch Touch 2011: a new collection of designer watches, colourful and featuring touch-sensitive LCD screens.
Swatch delivers an ambitious, forward-looking collection with the Swatch Touch. Beyond the watch design, the combination of touch control and an oversized LCD display provides easy access to six digital functions: time (2 time zones), date, chronograph, alarm, timer and sound. iPad users now have a new screen to swipe. Switching functions is done by “tapping”, and moving from one piece of information to another by scrolling sideways.
Backlit, the screen reveals Arabic numerals whose typeface has been carefully worked to strike a balance between legibility and style. The large numerals in the upper part of the dial indicate the seconds, while minutes and hours scroll along the bottom of the dial against an opaque background in the colour of the watch.

In terms of materials, plastic is used for the case, secured to the wrist by a silicone strap.
Available colours: black, camouflage, pink (fuchsia), blue, white and purple.
