Rolex Signs with Tiger Woods

Tiger Woods, the naughty golfer, has just signed a sponsorship deal with the Swiss watch brand Rolex.
The first major brand willing to place its trust in the Tiger again since the scandal over his extramarital escapades, Rolex “is committed to supporting him in his new challenges”. Admittedly, Tiger Woods still has a lot of fairways to cover to climb past the 50 golfers ahead of him in the world rankings, but the man still has plenty in the tank and still knows how to handle his club (golf club).
Tag Heuer, like many other sponsors, had terminated the contract linking the brand to the athlete in 2009 following the scandal. Rolex is now betting on a strong comeback from the fallen sportsman, dropped by its rival Tag Heuer… A fine move, the details of which are not yet known.
Rolex’s involvement in golf dates back to the 1960s, when the brand supported the “Big Three” (Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus and Gary Player).
At 35, Tiger Woods hasn’t ruined his life yet.
