Nixon The Ceramic Kensington

These ladies are not left out at Nixon, with watches that are elegant and right on trend. The Nixon Ceramic Kensington is a charming watch imbued with the brand’s board-sports spirit (read “The story of the Nixon brand”), a chic, youthful timepiece.
Clad in ceramic, the watch is available in Navy Blue, black or white.
It’s worth noting that navy-blue ceramic is uncommon among watches in this price bracket. The bezel and crown are in polished steel.
The 38 mm case may look substantial on paper for a woman’s wrist, but it finds perfect balance once on the wrist, thanks in particular to its slim profile. You’ll also notice in the previous photo the dial’s recessed hour markers.
On the “mechanical” side, the Ceramic Kensington is fitted with a Japanese Miyota quartz movement. Quartz, yes—but with a design and a material that are as pleasing to the eye as they are to the touch: ceramic.
Nixon also produces “Swiss made” automatic watches grouped within the Elite range.
A fine piece of work, with a well-executed design conceived for women—too often overlooked at this level of price and quality. Only one question remains: when will we see a matte-ceramic version, in the vein of the Chanel J12 Calibre 3125?
