ArtyA Purity Central Tourbillon Blue: Selected for the 2024 Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève

For the fifth time—and for the fourth consecutive year—the Geneva watchmaking Maison ArtyA stands out by being selected for the prestigious Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG). Its latest creation, the Purity Central Tourbillon Blue, is competing in the “Men’s Complications” category—an honour that also marks the independent brand’s 15 years of excellence.
A 20 mm central tourbillon, a technical and aesthetic feat
ArtyA’s flagship piece this year, the Purity Central Tourbillon Blue, impresses with its 20 mm central tourbillon—a true technical feat. Beating at the high frequency of 4 Hz (28,800 vibrations per hour), this tourbillon embodies both power and precision. The technical complexity is further enhanced by two barrels mounted in parallel, delivering a generous 60-hour power reserve—ideal for watchmaking enthusiasts.
The calibre powering this timepiece is exclusive as well: ArtyA’s fifth in-house calibre and the fourth to incorporate a tourbillon. Featuring a tungsten oscillating mass and an automatic winding system, this movement symbolises excellence in precision and durability.
A bold design elevated by sapphire crystal
The watch features a sapphire crystal case measuring 43 mm in diameter and 18 mm thick, offering a full view of the movement. ArtyA, renowned for its expertise in working with coloured sapphire crystal, has created a blue sapphire dial that shifts to violet under UV light. This distinctive trait adds a touch of mystery and elegance, giving the watch a singular presence.

The hour and minute hands, positioned on the periphery, travel around the central tourbillon, creating an effect of depth and lightness. This minimalist yet daring design puts the tourbillon front and centre, capturing attention with subtlety.
A landmark year for ArtyA
ArtyA’s selection for the GPHG 2024 crowns an exceptional year. In addition to this nomination, ArtyA made its debut at Watches & Wonders, a world-renowned event. The brand also took part in OnlyWatch, a charity auction for exceptional timepieces, further underscoring its commitment within the watchmaking world.
For Yvan Arpa, the brand’s founder, every ArtyA watch is far more than a simple timekeeper. The Purity Central Tourbillon Blue embodies this vision: “More than just a watch, it bears witness to a quest for excellence and a passion for craftsmanship at every moment.”
