ArtyA Gears Chronographs: Unique Pieces at the Crossroads of Art and Innovation

The independent watchmaking house ArtyA, based in Geneva, is closing out 2024 with the launch of its new series of Gears chronographs. Bold and synonymous with innovation and singularity, this collection introduces unprecedented materials and a reworked design aimed at captivating high-end watch enthusiasts. This innovative spirit is part of a broader celebration, as ArtyA celebrates 15 years of excellence, further showcasing its commitment to creativity and craftsmanship. Each watch, created as a one-off piece, offers an exclusive combination of case, dial and movement.
Cases in cutting-edge materials

ArtyA continues to push boundaries by exploring innovative materials for its cases. The Gears collection offers a range of options:
- 316L steel: Classic and robust, it embodies the essence of sporty chronographs. A version in black DLC-treated steel adds a modern, stealthy touch.
- Damascus steel: Known for its unique wavy patterns, this material—once prized for making sabres—reflects ArtyA’s artistic and enduring spirit.
- TiDamas: A unique alloy combining grade 2 and grade 5 titanium, offering iridescent patterns thanks to an exclusive heat treatment.
- Forged carbon: Sourced from specialised Italian workshops that work for prestigious brands such as Lamborghini, this material is light, tough and delivers an avant-garde look.
- Sapphire crystal: An emblematic ArtyA material, it embodies luxury and sophistication with its scratch-resistant transparency.

Each case, measuring 43 mm in diameter, is paired with an open caseback or a full sapphire back, offering a breathtaking view of the movement.
Radiant dials and exceptional movements
The enamel dials, offered in vibrant, deep colours, reinforce the artistic identity of this collection. Meticulous skeletonisation reveals the subtleties of the chronograph movement, delivering a fascinating mechanical spectacle.

At the heart of each model is a Swiss automatic movement, based on the Valjoux 7750 or Concepto calibres, modified in-house by ArtyA. These skeletonised movements—precise and reliable—offer a comfortable 48-hour power reserve. A substantial oscillating weight, decorated in the brand’s colours, is visible through the sapphire crystal caseback.

A chronograph complication engineered for performance
The chronograph function—essential for sports and precision enthusiasts—is displayed with clarity thanks to the sub-dials positioned at 6, 9 and 12 o’clock. Hands coated with Super-LumiNova BGW9 ensure optimal legibility, even in low-light conditions.
With water resistance up to 50 metres (5 ATM), these watches are equally suited to everyday wear and the most intense adventures.
A unique piece for every collector
In true ArtyA tradition, each watch is a unique piece. No combination of dial, case and movement will be reproduced, ensuring every owner possesses a truly exclusive timepiece.
