A celebration of the snake set against a celestial backdrop

The blue aventurine glass dial features a majestic snake in 18-carat rose gold, hand-engraved. Coiled around a ginkgo biloba branch, the reptile evokes wisdom, transformation and prosperity—symbols of the year 2025 in the Chinese calendar. Every detail, from the fine scales to the forked tongue, has been rendered with striking realism.

The large moon in white mother-of-pearl, illuminated with Super-LumiNova, dominates the nocturnal scene, surrounded by the constellations of Ursa Major and Cassiopeia, also hand-painted with luminescent material. This choice of stellar configurations pays tribute to the maritime heritage of John Arnold, the brand’s founder, when the stars guided navigators.

An exceptional lunar mechanism

At the heart of this watch beats the A&S1512 calibre, a hand-wound mechanical movement entirely designed and assembled in Arnold & Son’s workshops in La Chaux-de-Fonds. Thanks to remarkable precision, the lunar cycle is calculated so accurately that a one-day deviation will occur only after 122 years, provided the watch is kept continuously wound.

With a 90-hour power reserve delivered by two barrels, and a frequency of 3 Hz (21,600 vibrations per hour), this movement ensures performance and reliability. The finishing—such as chamfered bridges with radiating Geneva stripes and blued, polished screws—speaks to Arnold & Son’s high level of craftsmanship.

A red-gold case and luxurious details

The 18-carat (5N) red-gold case, measuring 41.5 mm in diameter and 11.67 mm thick, offers an elegant presence on the wrist. The domed sapphire crystal with double-sided anti-reflective treatment ensures optimal clarity to admire the dial and movement details.

The ink-blue alligator leather strap, lined with red leather, fastens with a pin buckle also in red gold, reinforcing the watch’s luxurious, timeless aesthetic.
