O’clock Watches: The Summer Accessory

Clean lines, zesty colours and original packaging: O’Clock watches are landing in France.
Swatch made a real splash with its brilliant Swatch New Gent; the concept has since spawned plenty of imitators.
Let’s say it straight away: O’clock watches are more about accessories than watchmaking. That said, there’s plenty to enjoy here: the design, the wide choice of models, the range of available colours, and the comfort of the Italian brand’s silicone straps.
O’clock has rolled out its models across three very appealing, on-trend collections.
- O’clock Colors
This range brings together 40 shades—pastel, bright or understated—so you can match your watch to your outfit with the nouveaux coloris Swatch.
- O’clock Camouflage Series
Three multicoloured, military-style camouflage models in shades of green, khaki, brown or beige.
- O’Clock Disney Series
The brand had the bright idea of creating models featuring Disney characters—Mickey, Minnie, Pluto and Goofy—to appeal to kids as much as to grown-up kids.
One last (very) pleasant surprise: the packaging. The watches come in a highly original metal case shaped like a tin can.
That said, we do recommend trying the watches on before buying. There are three strap sizes which, while slightly stretchy, won’t adjust to a smaller wrist.
Prices
One of O’clock’s strong points: its very affordable pricing, which is clearly an invitation to pick up more than one.
