A watch built for the extreme

The PAM01670 case, measuring 47 mm, is made from grade 5 titanium using a Direct Metal Laser Sintering (DMLS) process, optimising lightness while ensuring outstanding mechanical strength. Titanium—being 40% lighter and 60% more resistant than steel—makes it the ideal choice for adventurers. The watch is also fitted with a unidirectional bezel in Carbotech™, a composite material renowned for its lightness and corrosion resistance. Each bezel features a unique pattern, making every watch different.

With water-resistance to 50 bar (500 metres), this model exceeds Panerai’s usual requirements, delivering a watch that can withstand the most hostile environments. Super-LumiNova® X1 luminescence ensures optimal legibility even in darkness, while the patented polarised date display makes it possible to read the date without obscuring the mechanical elements visible in the skeletonised movement.

The P.4001/S calibre: technical prowess and watchmaking design

At the heart of the Submersible GMT Titanio lies the automatic P.4001/S calibre, a highly technical skeletonised movement. Comprising 341 components, it beats at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations/hour and offers a 3-day power reserve, ensured by a bidirectional tungsten micro-rotor. The power-reserve indicator is discreetly positioned on the back of the movement, visible through the sapphire crystal caseback, which also bears Mike Horn’s signature.

This calibre also features a GMT function, allowing a second time zone to be tracked, with an orange hand echoing the colours of the Bhutanese flag. A day/night display and a small seconds at 9 o’clock round out the watch’s functions, making it ideal for explorers and travellers.

Future owners of the PAM01670 will have the opportunity to join a unique expedition to Bhutan, organised by Panerai.
