To mark its 20th anniversary, Greubel Forsey unveils its 10th Fundamental Invention: the Nano Foudroyante EWT. Limited to 11 pieces, this revolutionary timepiece introduces nanomechanics to watchmaking, with energy management measured in nanojoules. With a diameter of just 37.9 mm, it embodies the workshop’s innovation and savoir-faire, incorporating the first perpetual foudroyante and a flying tourbillon.

Nanomechanics: a new horizon for watchmaking

The Nano Foudroyante represents a major breakthrough. Nanomechanics makes it possible to reduce bulk and energy consumption, transforming the traditional approach to watchmaking. By mastering energy at the nanojoule level, Greubel Forsey has developed a perpetual foudroyante that consumes 1,800 times less energy than conventional models. This mechanism, which uses only 16 nanojoules per jump, also reduces the mechanism’s volume by 90%.

Flying tourbillon and manual flyback mechanism

This timepiece features Greubel Forsey’s first flying tourbillon, delivering constant rotation with a foudroyante dial that remains perfectly aligned for optimal legibility. The model also includes a flyback function, complemented by a column wheel visible on the caseback side, and a one-day power reserve, even with the chronograph running.
