Bulgari Octo Quadri-Retro Watch in Steel and Ceramic: The Octagonal Attitude

Bulgari Octo Quadri-Retro acier et céramique

New for 2011: the Bulgari Octo Chronograph Quadri-Retro from the Gérald Genta Collection is a successful blend of steel and ceramic.

While the aesthetics of the Octo Chronograph Quadri-Retro watch perpetuate an incomparable style, its mechanics are no less worthy of the finest products of haute horlogerie, synonymous with surgical precision and excellence.

This sporty timepiece houses the GC7 800 calibre, a jewel of a complication movement offering four measuring functions: minutes, date, chronograph hour and minute counters, and a jumping hour displayed in an aperture at 12 o’clock, while the chronograph seconds hand—an elegant flourish—is positioned at 6 o’clock, keeping the time display window permanently visible.

The substantial case (45 mm in diameter) follows the tradition of octagonal cases in its design.

The dial is the result of lengthy work carried out in strict accordance with the “cloisonné” technique, which requires multiple machining phases.
