It has been a very long time since I last took an interest in Atelier deMonaco, and now I’ve received a press kit inviting me to dive back into their models.

Note that the brand was acquired, along with Frederique Constant and Alpina, by the Japanese group Citizen.

Here is the latest from Ateliers deMonaco: the Admiral Chronographe Flyback Saphir.

A quick reminder about Flyback

On a chronograph, the flyback function allows you to reset the counter to zero and restart timing in a single action. It’s a considerable time-saver when measuring elapsed time. There’s no need to press a STOP button, then RESET, then START. Everything is done with one press.

The Admiral Chronographe Flyback Saphir from Ateliers deMonaco features an 18k case in rose gold or white gold, with an intriguing dial made transparent by a sapphire crystal.

The watch is powered by an in-house movement offering a 38-hour power reserve—provided you don’t play around too much with the chronograph, of course.
