How to Change the Battery in a Watch with a Snap-On Case Back
Replacing the battery in a quartz watch with a snap-on caseback isn’t complicated. Here’s a step-by-step guide to show you how to change the battery.

1/ Open the caseback
Grab a knife, locate the notch, slide the blade in, then pry the caseback off.
2/ Replace the battery
Use plastic tweezers or a screwdriver to release the old battery.
Pick up the new battery with the plastic tweezers (and definitely not with your fingers) and slide it into its compartment.
3/ Snap the caseback back on
Position the caseback correctly, then snap it back on using a lever-type case press fitted with the right die (depending on the diameter of the caseback).
