Bausele Pays Tribute to the Royal Australian Air Force

During the First World War, 800 officers and 2,840 men served in the AFC, which would become the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) on 31 March 1921. In total, 9,870 of its members were killed in action defending the values of freedom in Europe during the Second World War.
Today, the RAAF sees between 500 and 700 personnel take off every day for coalition operations, peacekeeping missions, humanitarian deployments, or disaster-relief efforts following natural catastrophes.
Until now, to find a watch bearing witness to the bravery of these women and men, you had to go back to your grandparents’ era, as it was the high-end watchmaking houses Jaeger-LeCoultre and IWC that the RAAF last turned to—70 years ago.
Aviation enthusiasts and collectors today are fortunate to once again get their hands on models created exclusively for the RAAF to mark the celebration of its centenary in March 2021. It is the Australian brand with Swiss inspiration Bausele that was selected to bring them to life and to immortalise 100 years of military aviation, bravery, and hope for a better future.
The Airfield and Aviator watches are available for pre-order until 15 December 2020 only.
They will be produced in a limited edition of 500 pieces, and you can reserve your favourite number by specifying it when placing your order.
Finally, each watch comes with a piece taken from an aircraft flown by the RAAF:
Bausele Airfield Watch
The famous Caribou (DHC-4) transport aircraft #A4-208

Bausele Aviator Watch
The very first F/A-18A Hornet A21-1 designed and flown.

Don’t wait three generations to make history. Seize this unique opportunity to own a one-of-a-kind piece of Australian aviation history—one you will be proud to pass on to future generations. Pre-orders close on 15 December.
