Baume & Mercier Partners with Indian Motorcycle
La maison Baume & Mercier is announcing a new partnership, according to the press kit I’ve just received.
After cars (including the particularly handsome Baume et Mercier Capeland Shelby Cobra), rugby (Stade Toulousain) and many others, this would be an exclusive contract with America’s first motorcycle company: Indian Motorcycle. Motorcycles, then.
You’ll have gathered that the brand is beefing up its men’s range with a sporty, “vroom vroom” approach. Nothing terribly original, but why not.
To be fair, it does have a certain knack for signing deals with inspiring brands. The Shelby below was a nice move:
We’ll skip the marketing blah-blah recounting the founding values of the two companies—tradition and modernity, heritage and avant-gardism, fire burns, water wets, at night all cats are grey…—and focus on what interests us: the watches born of this partnership!
So I read through to the end of the press kit I received, only to discover that… Baume & Mercier will produce limited-edition watches this year, but we won’t learn any more than that…
