The Geneva Seal Website Is Live

The famous Hallmark of Geneva finally has its own website.

The Hallmark of Geneva is a watchmaking certification—the oldest in the world—issued by an independent body under state supervision. It underwent a major “2.0” update in 2011 to bring it into line with technical developments and ensure it was no longer limited solely to workmanship criteria dating back to 1886, notably through the introduction of tests on the finished watch (functions, water resistance, accuracy, power reserve, etc.).

Who issues the Hallmark of Geneva?

The Fondation du Laboratoire d’Horlogerie et de Microtechnique de Genève (TIMELAB) is mandated by the State to issue the famous Hallmark of Geneva.
