Miss France 2013: What Watches Are the Contestants Wearing?

As preparations for the election of Miss France 2013 gather pace, it’s clear that the event’s media reach grows stronger year after year. The media’s appetite for covering the competition remains undiminished, and it is also gaining momentum online via blogs and social networks (#Missfrance on Twitter).
The latest buzz: the general-knowledge quiz the contestants were put through (watch it here).
But back to our editorial line, and let’s take a look at these young women’s wrists. Various reports have repeatedly shown white watches worn by the 33 contenders.
The watches worn by the Miss contestants in the Miss France 2013 election are in fact Charriol timepieces.
Charriol is a watch, jewellery and accessories brand created by Frenchman Philippe Charriol in 1983.
The contestants’ watches are St-Tropez Infinite Summer models. Swiss made, they feature the distinctive touch of a rose-gold chain. The 30mm case is rose-gold plated and topped with a mother-of-pearl bezel.
The silicone strap echoes the brand’s DNA with a cable motif.
The watch also exists in black: see.
As for Miss France 2013, Marine Lorphelin, she was presented with a watch, the Charriol Parisii, set with 144 diamonds.
