MB&F Horological Machine No. 4: Razzle Dazzle & Double Trouble

MB&F Horological Machine N°4 Double Trouble

It is widely accepted that Maximilian Büsser and his team are big kids endowed with a powerful streak of creative madness. The launch of the famous Horological Machine n°4 (HM4) Thunderbolt had already been acclaimed by critics; it was time to push the concept of this watch further—born of its creator’s childhood passion for building model airplanes.

MB&F has just brought to life two limited editions of 8 pieces each: the HM4 Razzle Dazzle and Double Trouble.

Both models reference American aircraft from the Second World War, with a titanium fuselage held together by genuine rivets in the same metal, vintage-style dials, and leather straps cut from old Swiss military bags.

But what would a warplane of the era be without the famous pin-up painted on its nose? This artistic practice, tolerated by the army only grudgingly, was called “Nose Art”. Isabelle Villa, a miniature painter, therefore hand-dressed each watch with a “Razzle Dazzle” and a “Double Trouble” duo, making every watch a unique piece.
