Tudor Elevates Its Grantour Line with the Flyback Chronograph

The watchmaking house Tudor is enjoying an exceptional year, reaping the rewards of its stylistic redefinition. Today, you can feel the brand is at the top of its game. It has found its balance—an harmony between modernity, sophistication and performance. The style of Tudor watches? Retro-chic: a safe, timeless bet.

In 2011, Tudor, founded in 1946 and a subsidiary of Rolex (hence its quality), notably put the spotlight on its Grantour line, dedicated to motor racing. The result? The reissue of the famous Tudor Heritage Advisor, a new design for the Grantour Date and Grantour Chrono and, above all, a completely new model: the Grantour Chrono Fly-Back.

The Chrono Fly-Back, true to the range’s ideals, features one of the most interesting complications—perfectly aligned with a passion for motor sport. It is, in fact, capable of measuring several time intervals, with the ability to reset the running chronograph capable of measuring and restart it instantly.

The 42 mm case is identical to that of the Tudor Grantour Date and Chrono. A size that gives the wrist a racy, purposeful presence. Tudor’s master watchmakers have fitted the Chrono Fly-Back with a pusher accented in red.

Other fine red elements complete the watch. This subtlety reinforces the sporty character while preserving great elegance.

The dial features a small-seconds counter that will delight detail lovers, as it is not unlike the drive belts of engines.

The Tudor Grantour Chrono Fly Back is available in steel and rose gold, and in steel with 18-carat rose gold—an in-demand material among watch enthusiasts. It is possible to further enhance this model, as well as the others in the Grantour line, with, for example, faceted hour markers, a rehaut carrying the minute track, and many other refinements.

The Date, Chrono and Chrono Fly-Back can be paired, at the owner’s discretion, with a three-link satin-finished steel bracelet, or a leather strap with large perforations or micro-perforations.
